NSW: Daggy decade revered and ridiculed in new exhibition

The daggy decade of the 80s is making it's official comeback at Sydney's Powerhouse
Museum this weekend.

A new exhibition .. "The 80s Are Back" .. opens at the museum on Saturday .. celebrating
popular culture and Australian life .. complete with big hair and fluoro colours.

It features more than 800 objects and interactive exhibits including the Sony Walkman
.. power dressing .. fluoro dance parties .. the AIDS crisis and the Atari game console
and the entrance title wall is constructed from more than 11-hundred Rubik's cubes.

The exhibition will run for 12 months.
