Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc., a New York investment bank and brokerage firm, has hired Jeffrey L. Fox as its chief financial officer, the same title he held at First Union Brokerage Services Inc. of Charlotte, N.C. (now First Union Securities Inc.).
He is responsible for directing Keefe's financial reporting and analysis. He succeeded Guy Woelk, who retired after a 17-year career at the firm.
Before joining First Union Brokerage Services, Mr. Fox, 40, had been a member of the management team at Societe Generale Securities Corp. in New York (which was renamed SG Cowen Securities Corp. in 1998), where he was responsible for developing …
